May Trip 2014 : Travelog Begins ^^

Hey everyone ! Yon's here ^^ Otaku Backpacker's May Trip 2014 just ended with a blast ! The experience in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto couldn't be greater. We dived into the very best of Japan's modern and traditional cultures with a plunge, and almost drowned in the richness of it !

There's just so many adventurous things throughout the trip and I'm glad everything turned out well ^^
So from now I'll be writing a "belated" Travelog on the 2 weeks trip and hope you all enjoy reading 'em, and hope you will get some tips on travelling in Japan !

Rurouni Kenshin 2 Great Kyoto Fire Movie New Poster Revealed

new poster for the new Rurouni Kenshin movie [The Great Kyoto Fire] The movie will air in Japan from 1st August 2014. Sato Takeru returns as Himura Kenshin, former 'slasher' Hitokiri Battousai who vowed to never kill again. this time he'll be up against Makoto Shishio, played by Fujiwara Tatsuya (Battle Royale, Death Note). with the help of his loyal army of Samurai, Juppon Gatana, Shishio plots to take down the government and rule over Japan...

One thing that I like about the movie, are the limited edition movie goods sold in convenience stores (7-Eleven, Family Mart). They are only available in Japan. So, it's one more good reason for you to come to Japan with Otaku Backpackers ! XD

Pokemon 3rd Generation Remake Confirmed : Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby

Pokemon Fans Alert ! The call to Catch 'em All is back again !  

Remake of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, called Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, is set to hit worldwide this November on Nintendo 3DS, announced Nintendo in  and Youtube.

The remake is said to be taking a "fresh take" on the original  Game Boy Advance game by giving it a brand new adventure and gameplay, reported Nintendo. 

I could say we can expect a cinematic Pokemon X/Y-like 3D adventure in Hoenn region this time, most probably with new features that are yet to be revealed. One thing for sure, expect new Mega Evolutions ! 

Kuroshitsuji 'Black Butler' to air in Malaysia cinemas in June

The live action adaptation of popular manga and anime title Kuroshitsuji has been launched in Japan cinema earlier this year, and now is set to hit the silver screens internationally.

The movie features Mizushima Hiro (Kamen Rider Kabuto, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e) as demon butler Sebastian Michaelis and Goriki Ayame (Gachaman, Oniisan no Hanabi) as Genpou Shiori.

For those who wonders why the name isn't Ciel Phantomhive,as of the main character in the manga and anime, it is because the story sets 130 years after the events in the manga and anime, and in this movie Shiori is said to be the descendant of Ciel. Together with returning Sebastian, the both of them are set for a brand new adventure.

Golden Screen Cinemas Malaysia have announced to release the movie in Malaysia cinemas starting 12th June. Here are the posters that you will see in GSCs nationwide soon. (but the movie might only be screened at GSC Mid Valley and Gurney Plaza as it happened to many Japanese movies before, Rurouni Kenshin for once)

What do you think about this live action adaptation ? Gouriki's "fame" might affect the movie but I can't say anything before seeing her performance in this movie. Hopefully Mizushima will save the day just like how Sebastian saves Ciel for countless times...hmmm...

Aziz Sattar Meninggal Dunia

Pelakon veteran yang terkenal dengan watak Ajis dalam filem Bujang Lapok menghembuskan nafasnya yang terakhir pada pukul 2 pagi tadi di Hospital Kajang, pada usia 89 Tahun. walaupun off-topic, tetapi marilah kita memberikan penghormatan terakhir kepada beliau sebagai salah seorang ikon yang pernah mewarnakan bidang seni tanah air dengan bakat lakonan yang ceria dan menyenangkan hati ramai orang, tidak mengira umur, bangsa dan agama.

Al-Fatihah buat Allahyarham Aziz Sattar. Semoga rohnya ditempatkan di kalangan orang-orang beriman dan diredhai Allah, InshaAllah.

Sandakiah berkata, pihaknya juga sedang menguruskan pengebumian ayahnya yang dijangka dilakukan pagi ini. 

Gandingan Abdul Aziz atau lebih dikenali sebagai Pak Ajis bersama Seniman Negara, Allahyarham Tan Sri P Ramlee dan Allahyarham S Shamsuddin sebagai trio Bujang Lapuk menjadi antara watak ikonik dalam dunia senimatik Melayu sejak era 1950an.

One Day Spider-Man

It's a family tradition that we watch a movie together for a birthday of someone in the family. Last weekend was my mom's thus we all decided to hit the cinema.

but this time, I got a nice ring in my head. I thought to make it a bit special for my mom! I rushed to my friend's house to lend his costume, and voila ! I went to the cinema to watch The Amazing Spider-man 2, as Spider-Man ! 

We went to GSC Alamanda for the movie. I took pictures with my family, and every other person at the cinema at that time started to line up for pictures LOL. in the end I spent almost one hour posing with a lot children and families. The look on the kids faces when they met their favorite superhero ? PRICELESS. it was totally worth it and seeing those smiles on their faces made my day so much :D

that's what I did to make my Mom's birthday special. How about you ? Tell me what would you do to make your mom's birthday or the coming Mother's Day special :)
